My newborn son needed it because he was a bit weezy, but it cleared up quickly once my wife and I got this humidifier, if works great I highly recommend it

Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier tank crack

         

The humidifier works great, but the tank is cracked.  No leaks, but you can clearly see the cracks ...odd.  I called the manufacturer support line as specified in big BOLD letters ("DO NOT RETURN THIS UNIT TO THE STORE.  CALL US, WE CAN HELP 800-477-0457") on the Quick Start Guide for the Model V745A, but the service rep said take it back to the store.  ....so here we go.  Hope this does not turn out to be a pain in the rear for what should be simple issue to resolve.

faulty design

         

I have had to return this model TWICE due to a problem in the water tank cap. It works great the first couple of times but then something about the valve keeps the water from draining out of the tank and into the base. I sent one back last spring and am preparing to send that one back again. Don't waste your money on this model - the design is flawed. I usually love Vicks products, but this one has frustrated me to no end!
