I find it a bit loud and difficult to clean. The tank is anodd shape and you cannot get inside to give a good cleaning,  which should be done occasionally. Also the base has spine that are difficult to clean around. The filter needs to be replaced quite frequently and the tank needs to be filled daily. I think in the end it would be just as cost effective and a lot less work to buy a bigger unit.
